Online Market Season Begins

The Online Market offers locally-grown fresh produce and more through a weekly ordering cycle, all in one convenient ordering platform.

When you shop with the Working Food Online Market, your dollars stay in our community,  supporting local farmers, food artisans and small businesses, all while helping to build a more resilient and connected regional food system.

The online market is for anyone who can’t make it to one of the weekly in-person farmers markets across town, or anyone who wants another way to support our local food systems!

The Working Food Online Market is back on Oct. 17! The first pick-ups will be on Thursday, Oct. 22 (afternoon) or Friday, Oct. 23 (morning).

How it works

  • Create a free account at Market.WorkingFood.org.

  • Log in to your account anytime during the open shopping period (Saturday mornings through Monday evenings)

  • Browse products from local farmers and artisans.

  • Add items to your online cart and confirm your order by Monday evenings

  • Pick up your order at Working Food on Thursday afternoon or Friday morning

Why shop from the Online Market?

  1. Support the people who work hard to feed our community. We’re providing an additional channel for local farmers and artisans to make their products available to consumers. Help foster a food system rooted in community and accessibility, where everyone has access to fresh, nutritious, high-quality food.

  2. Those who have a harder time accessing in-person markets now have a more convenient way to shop local food. Maybe you can’t make it to the farmers market in person or find it overwhelming. You should still be able to participate in our local food systems.

  3. Feel confident in knowing where your food comes from. Get fresh and responsibly produced local produce (including “farmer’s choice share” baskets), meat, eggs, bread, flowers, and more. Plus, access unique regional items that may not be available in grocery stores.

  4. Strengthen our local economy. When you shop with the Working Food Online Market, your dollars stay in our community,  supporting local farmers, food artisans and small businesses, all while helping to build a more resilient and connected regional food system.

About the Online Market

Founded in spring 2026 with 10 local vendors, the Working Food Online Market offers locally-grown fresh produce and more through a weekly ordering cycle on a convenient online platform.

The Working Food Online Market connects Gainesville and Alachua County residents with farmers and artisans growing and producing within 100 miles of Gainesville, Florida.
