Owner of Daniel’s Dining, a catering business with the goal of serving and building impactful relationships in the community through collaboration with Working Food, Daniel helps take care of our culinary partners and keeps our kitchen facilities humming! Daniel is an expert who takes pride in making clients’ events memorable.

Youth Programs Coordinator

Jenna studied early childhood education at Santa Fe College. She spent many years before school traveling both in the U.S and abroad exploring, learning, and growing on organic sustainable farms. Her passion is to re-establish a loving connection between children and nature through garden education.

Seed Collective and Plant Program Coordinator

Sarah worked in neuroscience for several years before becoming a mother. While caring for her 3 children for the past 10 years, she developed a passion for gardening and culinary arts. She began to volunteer for Forage in 2016, loves being involved with the youth garden program, seed saving efforts, and programming for the community.

Shelby Dixon, Executive Director, Working Food

Executive Director

Prior to joining Working Food, Shelby led the strategic implementation of sustainability initiatives across projects in local government, restaurant groups and live music venues. Her passion for environmental protection and resilient community building took root while studying regenerative agricultural and food justice in university.

Seed Program Director

Melissa is a University of Florida graduate, with a Masters degree in Interdisciplinary Ecology. She worked for Florida Organic Growers, the Florida Museum of Natural History, and the UF Horticulture Department.

Youth Program Director

Jesse brings over 10 years of experience in science outreach and youth program coordination to the Working Food team. Before her journey into education, she worked as an ecologist studying seed dispersal and germination.

Robert is a culinary school trained foodservice professional, and studied dietetics at the University of Florida.
