Jesse brings over thirteen years of experience in youth programs to the Working Food team. She studied Ecology at New College of Florida, where she focused on seed ecology and science outreach. Jesse has worked as a field ecologist, dishwasher, artist, ranchhand, cook, farmer, camp director, and educator. She’s also spent a decade growing a variety of southern crops in her large homestead garden with her family. Her current role at Working Food keeps her curiosity fueled, and her love of Florida alive, as she explores the natural world with kids. She is inspired daily by working with empowered young people to grow food, create nourishing meals, and build community around food.
