Jenna studied early childhood education at Santa Fe College. She spent many years before school traveling both in the U.S and abroad exploring, learning, and growing on organic sustainable farms. Her passion is to re-establish a loving connection between children and nature through garden education.
Sarah worked in neuroscience for several years before becoming a mother. While caring for her 3 children for the past 10 years, she developed a passion for gardening and culinary arts. She began to volunteer for Forage in 2016, loves being involved with the youth garden program, seed saving efforts, and programming for the community.
Prior to joining Working Food, Shelby led the strategic implementation of sustainability initiatives across projects in local government, restaurant groups and live music venues. Her passion for environmental protection and resilient community building took root while studying regenerative agricultural and food justice in university.
Melissa is a University of Florida graduate, with a Masters degree in Interdisciplinary Ecology. She worked for Florida Organic Growers, the Florida Museum of Natural History, and the UF Horticulture Department.
Jesse brings over 10 years of experience in science outreach and youth program coordination to the Working Food team. Before her journey into education, she worked as an ecologist studying seed dispersal and germination.
