Melissa is a co-founder of Working Food bringing more than a decade of experience to the organization including non-profit start up and management, community organizing, food systems, seed stewardship, gardening, farming, education, outreach, and youth programming. Her work focuses on regional seed biodiversity which is interwoven with a diverse network of individuals and organizations locally and nationally. She is an artist, educator, and ecologist, finding great inspiration in the wilds of Florida, as well as the overgrown nooks and crannies of community gardens, and rural areas.
