Alfredo Morales

Alfredo graduated from UF in 2018 with degrees in mechanical and aerospace engineering and worked as an engineer until 2023. At the beginning of the pandemic, he began organizing with Free Grocery Store (FGS), a food-based mutual aid project. His hands-on work at FGS left him inspired to pursue more food justice work, and his experience in the service industry helped give him the skills and opportunity to help out in our amazing kitchen.

Born in Lima, Peru, he has a huge passion and attachment to Peruvian food! Alfredo considers himself an activist and organizer, working with various different groups around town to enact positive change in our community. He also really enjoys biking (shoutout Gainesville Bike Polo) and DIY music shows.
